just sittin at signal, looked over and up and bam! there's my photo of the day. one day i was taking a close up picture of the splattered mud on the white wall at a motorcycle speedway race. my son saw me and said, "reeeally?" "hey, there is art everywhere!" i said. so now it's a running joke with us whenever we see something weird, ugly, beautiful or cool...but i really do believe it. just look around!

no walk today, no adventure, so here is the onion experiment my son and i have had going on for a while now. a month? longer? we don't remember how long. we've done this before when an onion gets too old to use and we notice it starts sprouting, we just let it sprout away and see how long it goes!

a few hours at the sawdust "spring fling" today. my happy place...the sawdust festival...covid has ruined everything but whatever the dust can give, i will take.

i took my dog for a walk at dog beach. it was nice. but at one point up by the parking lot a dog, with a leash on but obviously loose from it's owner, came running at us growling and snarling and it nipped at my dogs butt, i was screaming, so scared. and my dog was cowering and scared. she is old. the owner comes running after it, the dog runs away and circles back and growling and trying to bite my dog again! with me screaming again! it didn't break skin and my dog was fine and we rushed off as the owner was still trying to catch it. scary. all the way back to the car, which was at least one mile away, i was thinking how bad that could have turned out. she better not take that dog around other dogs until she gets some major training for it. otherwise it was a nice walk and nice sunset.

i took a walk around alamitos bay marina this evening. i love walking around marinas

. all the boats, the water, the birds and other wildlife (including human's!), the sites, the sounds and smells. i just love it all.

i was kinda busy today. i got my power walk in this evening, but the sunset wasn't good and i just didn't have time to try to be creative. so, here...

hanging out in venice today...i hadn't been there in a few years. it has definitely changed as far as the homeless population explosion. sad all around. it changes the whole atmosphere. but i also feel for people experiencing homelessness. it feels bad to want them to not be there. i mean, i am a regular volunteer going out to the streets to help homeless people. but to have so many tents and trash along the boardwalk is disappointing.

we walked around downtown long beach, had lunch and went down to shoreline village today after getting my first covid vaccine at the convention center. this is the convention center walkway.

we walked up and down the hill again today. it was a quick walk, minimal looking around, well we always have to check things out, but really we just tried to go up hill street, starting from near redondo, and up the side that looks towards the ocean, up to hill top park, and around the promenade overlooking the airport and back down hill street. this might be the same flower i got a week or so ago! maybe...
