day 11 neighborhood
in the neighborhood we spent nearly an hour trying to catch this dog. we were in our driveway when this dog walked by us. we looked at each other like that's not good. and we set off on an adventure to catch her. in the process of driving around following her, stopping the car, getting out, having her run off, jumping back in the car to follow her some more, repeat over and over. along the way several other cars noticed the situation and joined the chase. i went up to many doors hoping someone would know whose dog this is. then a couple bikes joined in. we now had a team of several cars, a couple on bikes and a couple people on foot. we were all all over the neighborhood trying to catch this dog. one guy got some lunch meat and as he was luring the dog in the middle of the street, he was sitting in the middle of the street, a guy on a bike was approaching and it turned out to be the owner. the guy with the lunch meat grabbed the dogs collar and a couple minutes later the owner had his leash on the dog and i could let out a big sigh of relief. he said the dog has been a problem, jumping the fence, escaping in various ways. apparently she is an adventurer. we got the picture of the dog early in the chase so i could show people while trying to find out who is the owner. i asked him if i could take a picture of the dog tag so i can call him right away if there is a next time. after all that, brad pointed out that we forgot to ask what the dogs name is.
