industry hills expo center. this racetrack has all kinds of racing from cars to monster trucks and motorcycles. also rodeo's and dog shows and more.

i always think this is long beach but i really know it's not. signal hill is it's own little city that is completely surrounded by long beach though. i was at home this afternoon thinking i need a picture for today, and decided on a quick trip up the hill. wow! there were so many people there to see the sunset. i don't think i've ever been there when there was that many people. the sunset was nice but not the best. i'm glad i went, but i'll try again another day for a better sunset shot...

getty center irises by vincent van gogh. i got curious about vincent tonight when i got home and spent waaay too long on google. he was an interesting person and i now need to look into buying a book or two about him. years ago i was in a mozart phase and i bought and read quite a few books about ol' wolfie. now THAT was an interesting man for sure! we had a good time at the getty center but there are so many rude clueless people it was a little depressing. so many people are so much about me me me. I know we all experience this frustration. but it was particularly bad there and even brad noticed. still it was a good day and the weather was awesome, not a cloud in the sky and the view is great from up there.

we saw the conners sitcom taping today. you aren't allowed to bring your phone or camera in so no pictures! i took this picture walking back to our car down the street. i saw the show roseanne filmed, it was the first halloween episode in 1988 i think. i also saw the show friends a couple times. i know someone who worked on the set and she got me to be able to walk around on the set and i met matt leblanc. i also got to sit on the famous friends apartment couch and walk around central perk. € oh! back to the conners! it was a fun experience and my son now wants to go see another show.
