olinda oil museum and trail. this is the second time we took this trail and the museum was closed again. hopefully next time it will be open! today was too hot to be walking this trail but we did it. it's a moderate trail i'd say and just about 2 miles. that's not far but the heat made up for it. whew. no more walks or hikes in that kind of heat... dummy...

night time walk in the park. a surprise bonus, they were showing the movie frozen there tonight. and i got chased by a duck and i found an egg sitting on the grass, just sitting right there in the grass and didnt appear to belong to the chasing duck. it was too dark to get any kind of good picture, but this little bridge is kinda cool.

naples canal. i usually walk around here at christmas time. when i go here at other times it is usually on the water in my kayak. it's been a long time that i have walked around by myself on a regular beautiful late afternoon. it was lovely and there were a few gondolas out doing their thing. and now i feel the need to get back out there with my kayak!

marine stadium. a california historical landmark created in 1932 for the Xth olympiad rowing events and as the venue for 1968 and 1976 men's olympic rowing trials and 1985 women's olympic rowing trials. it remains a training center for rowers and for our national and olympic teams.
