nazareth album. hair of the dog. my favorite song on this record is love hurts. i love it so much. i can listen to it over and over. and i have. i was listening to it today and watching the video when i learned that this was not, in fact, their song. it was originally by the everly brothers. mind blown...learn something new every day...and every time i listen to it, the next song on the album starts in my head.

i was just on my way to a store, about to step up on the curb when this scurried at my feet, i had to jump and do a little screeching to avoid stepping on it. i mean, it's kinda cute and all...but...and of course i had to whip out my phone to get a picture. ps there's a little green in there for st patrick's day.

volunteering on the streets of skid row. i gave away some books and reading glasses and helped with a few things. i had some good conversations. at one point a man got angry about something and he threw something on the ground. well mango here in the fire fighter jacket was having none of that and he went over to talk with that man. this picture is of him marching over there. he told the man that that is not acceptable. please look up "who is mango". i had another good talk with him today and he is very interesting. he cares. he loves to help. he called me his biggest fan. haha! in the center of this picture you can see that graffiti building that we've all seen on the news recently.

i got some binoculars! this is taking a picture with my phone through the binoculars while sitting on the couch from across the room. i always loved this album cover. anyway...taking a picture through binoculars is harder than i thought it'd be! i will get better.
